What ‘Affirmations' hope to grow up to be!
Do Affirmations work?... Depends!
- Why is it that for as long as there has been the idea of affirmations they haven’t become the easiest way available to get the results you want?
- Why does it feel good to do affirmations some times and at others it’s like a lead balloon
- Could it be because the focus of an affirmation is on the least powerful part of the affirmation process
- Now should anyone be blamed for focusing on the least powerful aspect of an affirmation
- How can we blame someone for something they did not know or be aware of?
Well since blame is a less than useful emotion and if comes from a sense of dis-empowerment or from the feeling of not being able to get what we want so we justify it by explaining why not, let’s set that aside and focus on the aspect of an affirmation that actually does all the work.
I was once visiting Jerry, a friend who lives in the pretty country hills outside of Austin, TX. He had just installed a new water well system into his country home, we were all standing in the kitchen drinking some of the new spring water and his kids were asking why the water tastes so different.
I guess he figured this was a good teaching moment so he got his children really curious about it and asked them,” Where does water come from?” His youngest replied, “From the water faucet.” Jerry said, it sure looks that way doesn’t it? What if that is just on the surface?”
You see water does come from the faucet and yet to get to the faucet there has to be pipes for the water to travel through and there has to be pressure to move the water through the pipes and the water has to have a place of origin, a beginning place, before it gets in the pipes and comes out the faucet.
Little J.J. said, “OK, but where does the water come from?”
His dad said, “When we are at home the water comes from a place where they store water and filter it and add chemicals to it and it is usually called a reservoir.” Here in the country we get our water directly from an underground spring.”
J.J. asked, “But dad, why does it taste better here than at home?”
Because it is a natural fresh water spring and it doesn’t need to be filtered and purified and no extra chemicals added, that’s why it taste so good.
So what does this have to do with affirmations, you may be wondering. And my answer is affirmations just like water from a faucet, depends on where they come from.
Most people when they learn about affirmations are given some pretty specific instructions about how to construct and affirmation that gets results. Some of these instructions are…
- State the affirmation in 1st person.
- (I am healthy; instead of I want to be healthy.)
- State the affirmation positively.
- (I am healthy; instead of I don’t want to be sick.)
- State the affirmation as if it has already happened.
- (I am healthy; instead of I’m going to be healthy.)
Now these are all useful instructions and yet they focus on the weakest part of the whole affirmation process. They are focused on the look and sound of the words and that is like little J.J. saying “water comes from the faucet.”
Very few people look or focus on what’s behind the “words” or where what’s behind the words come from, which just like water determines how well the affirmations taste (works.)
So what’s behind words, what’s behind the affirmation?
The answer… Energy Spin!!!
The reason people give such specific instructions about how to create and use affirmations is because they are really attempting to create the correct energy spin so as to allow the affirmation to work. To use our everyday language it is all about how the affirmation feels when it is spoken. The energy spin determines how the affirmation feels.
And energy moves and spins vibrationally and it is an internal experience; instead of an external one.
Affirmations are attempting to follow a Forgotten Fundamental of an Exquisite Life and that is…
“Energy flows, builds, charges, and creates where attention goes.”
What most affirmation teachers do not realize and are not aware of, it isn’t the words or the specific order or how you state them that causes the shift and makes all the difference. It is the vibrational innergetics behind the words that is the power, cause and reason an affirmation works when it does.
When one focuses on the vibrational innergetics of what one wants, in regards to affirmations a lot of the rules to construct a good affirmation changes. As an example, using health again, because of how good it feels (which is vibrational innergetics) it could look like this…
- I feel healthier and I wonder how quickly I’ll feel even healither?
- When I say to myself, “You feel healthy. “I feel good.”
- I wonder, why do I keep feeling so healthy, all the time?
Any, and all, of these work extremely well when applied from the Vibrational Innergetics level.
And one of the main benefits of working from the vibrational innergetics level is that you wind up taking a lot less physical action and the physical action that you do take instead of being hard, difficult and necessary will be easy, natural and fun.
We are going to explore more about Vibrational Innergetics at the Upcoming "Organ Re-generation Workshop-Regrow Life".

Great post! I so get this. It is so in alignment with where my thoughts have been lately. Just this week, I was getting that if an affirmation brings me into the Vortex with the way it feels, then it is working for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doc.
Katie,
ReplyDeleteEverything Affirmations, self-help, hypnosis, everything that depends on thinking work when one is in Heart Space or as Abraham says the Vortex. What most people do not understand is that none of these things work outside of Heart Space.
When any of them work it is because the individual or the person helping the individual shifted the person into Heart Space (vortex) and it all determined by how one feels.
The simplest, most effective way to do this is http://www.ThisOneSecret.com
